The Knowledge Base has been updated with article 943903.Information about when to use the backup feature in Windows Live OneCare or when to use the automatic backup feature in Windows Vista or in Windows Home Server.

I am confused. I am still using the WHS Beta and back up to BOTH WHS and OneCare (to different storage media). When I get a WHS server (HP EX475?) I will re-start my WHS backups and, at that time, eliminate the backups in OneCare.
In the meantime, is there any reason OTHER THAN PERFORMANCE to avoid using both? I have carefully timed the backups to occur overnight and, after the initial ones, I am seeing no performance impacts on my client PCs.

As you stated the following KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943903/en-us says that “you may experience slow performance on the computer”. Apart from this I can see no issue why you cannot run both together if you really wanted too.
