Restoring a Time Machine backup that’s stored on a Windows Home Server isn’t the easiest job top perform as it entails the following:

  1. Install a brand spanking new copy of OS X
  2. Mount your Time Machine backup
  3. Run Migration Assistant.
  4. Restore the backup

Thankfully to help you through this process is a blog post where a user suffered the same problem and explains the full process of getting his Mac working again.

A great post for Time Machine users, which you can find here.
