Drive Bender for WHS2011 and Windows Server 2012 Essential users has been updated.

Release 2.1.0.5 has the following change log:

  • [Bug fix] The Drive Bender Manager fails to start if the Windows font scaling setting is not 100%.
  • [Bug fix] When a file is being created, a target location is not being found.
  • [Bug fix] Changing the "Provisioning limit" caused the Drive Bender Manager / Console to crash.
  • [Bug fix] Landing zone clearing can fail to find a target location for the file to be moved.
  • [Bug fix] Drive enumeration (as used internally) not filtering some system folders correctly.
  • [Bug fix] Added threaded monitoring for networked mapped nodes.

The Cloud Xtender Project

Cloud Xtender from the guys who bring us Drive Bender allows a users to create a local drive on their machine that points to one or more cloud drives. The number and type of cloud providers is not limited, and you specify rules that determine file placement.

It’s an interesting project which will be with us soon, but in the meantime you can read more about it here.

My Movies for Windows - Home and Essentials

My Movies for Windows – Home and Essentials has been updated to version 5.00 Build 2, with the following change log:

  • Fix: If there is a leftover database file, the system should now be able to back that up to a different filename.
  • Fix: There was a problem when selecting WMA as music disc copier format on Windows 7 and 8.
  • Fix: There could be connection problems from My Movies for iPad and My Movies for iPhone.
  • Fix: Category collection view could fail to be displayed due to an invalid SQL.
  • Fix: Issue that could cause double copying when software was operating as client.
  • Fix: There could be a problem storing the index for Dune of it was on another device than the local server.
  • Fix: The software made some autorun adjustments also on desktop PC’s that was not ideal, and could cause problems when installing the first time.
  • Fix: Dashboard display images for copied movie discs and monitoring was not merge into the new database format. This can lead to clients not displaying the images in the properties windows.
  • Fix: There was a 2500 point requirement check from the Pre Release in the dashboard login.
  • Fix: There was some strings missing in localization, which showed as localization errors when opening the feature list dialog.
