WHS to Have Little Butte

Australia’s APCMag.com is highlighting the new Home Server design by Intel which utilizes the Atom CPU.

The bespoke platform is specifically designed for the Windows Home Server platform and is being developed in conjunction with Gigabyte, and is known as the "Little Butte".

As well as Gigabit Ethernet and the single memory slot there is capacity for 4 x internal SATA hard drives as well as 2 x eSata ports and 4 x USB 2.0 for further expansion.

Technically, if you put WHS on an Atom Ion board, you could make a dual purpose MCE out of it. Personally, I’d rather have the server separate and have the Acer Revo 3610 at each TV in my house.

But this Butte sounds interesting nonetheless for sure!
