“Computer Monitoring Error” Hotfix Available

After installing Update Rollup 2 (UR2) some WHS 2011 users were experiencing a false computer monitoring error in the Launchpad or Dashboard.

Microsoft have now come up with a hotfix to correct the false computer monitoring error in the Launchpad or Dashboard some users were experiencing after installing Update Rollup 2 (UR2).

The hotfix is intended to correct only this problem and should be applied only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

This hotfix is available for Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials, Windows Home Server 2011, and for Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials and can be obtained after requesting it using the following form:

• For WHS 2011
• For SBS 2011 Essentials
• For Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials
