2) They explained that it’s for data that doesn’t change much. Write is slow, but read is fast. It would get me around 2TB of storage back by setting up parity for my movies compared to DrivePool right now, hence it’s great for that, even while slower. Saving 2TB? Yes, please.

This type of redundancy is intended for data that doesn’t change much (such as images, music, videos).

I would be interested to see what speeds you get with the duplication option.
