I’ve been using DK2010 for the past few days, and it works great: quietly and silently in the background automatically doing it’s job without disturbing me (or me disturbing it ). Intelliwrite looks really cool; it has prevented an estimated 19,000 fragments over the last few days!

I believe when it was first released, defragging WHS with the native defrag utility was not recommended by MS due to some problems. However, certain third party defraggers were safe and effective.

I am suspicious of defrag software on a server. A system like Whs should manage this problem itself without 3rd party intervention. Win7 does it suitably well I believe so MSFT have the technology. Disk access is a sensitive thing. Too many cooks spoil the broth and the OS should be the one in charge.

I am already a PerfectDisk convert. Out of fifteen installations of WHS, PerfectDisk site license runs on four. Simple to install not only on workstations but getting it installed on any WHS is easy too.
