Windows Home Server backup performs relatively the same tasks as Symantec Ghost as you can perform a backup restore from the network using a boot cd.
I’ve used many Symantec products and found them to be all rubbish and resource hungrey. Easeus Parition Master is a good alternative to copy entire hdd’s.

This has been confirmed via multiple times by users via Symantec forums. I have been trying for over the last 3 months to get it fixed but Symantec says it is MS problem. I had Symantec tech support PROVE the issue is related to there products (VSS) problem.
