Windows Home Server on MSDN – Finally

You can now (finally) download Windows Home Server from both the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) and TechNet. Availability on both platforms will allow IT Pros to try out Home Server and for a larger community of professional developers to build new add-ins and solutions on top of the Windows Home Server platform.

WHS on MSDN and TechNet

Under the category of Operating Systems (and NOT Servers) the Windows Home Server installation disc, connector disc and restore disc are all available for download.

  1. Mike says:

From looking at the MSDN download it looks like it is only WHS w/ PP1 not PP2.

  2. Brent says:

How many keys will it allow you to have? I know when it “leaked” a week ago it only allowed 1. Has that been upped now that it’s official?

    Thanks.

  3. Mike says:

Typically MSDN only gives you one key, but the key can be used to activate ~10 installs. Not sure if this is still the case with WHS.

  4. Brent says:

    Thanks Mike.

  5. Ayca says:

Yes, each key can activate Home Server on 10 different machines.
