Stream your iTunes Music Collection over the Internet
MediaSmartHome.com has a tutorial on how to stream your iTunes music collection over the internet by using the included Firefly media server and FirePlay, a Flash based interface to the FireFly Media Server.
Once you have followed the 13 step tutorial, you will have Britney Spears streaming over the web to a laptop in your hotel room. (I’m not sure if that is a good thing or NOT 🙂

WHS + Firefly is an excellent team – I use this every day to stream music from my home collection to work. It really is a killer feature and not too hard to setup.

Everyone should checkout subsonic. Its opensource, free, and it works very well. You really only need to install it and tell it where your mp3s are. It also installs on any OS that supports java, not only windows.
