This article sounds more like an advertisement to purchase Perfect Disk 2008 via MSWHS to me. Obviously, Raxco wants to promote sales, while WHS needs the PR.

However, has anyone proven at all that Perfect Disk actually works with WHS Drive Extender, being how it’s been reported to be the cause of all the data corruption?

Will Perfect Disk just end up relocating the corrupted data or add to the problem here?

Early adaption isn’t worth all the hassles. That’s why 98% of the corporate enterprise sector didn’t adopt Vista and why it’s best to wait for Microsoft to iron out the wrinkles, such as the data corruption flaws before purchasing.

    Well,
It may be an ad (depends how you define it), but … so what. It is VERY targeted and provides information on important add-on product. The 20% off on already reasonable site license pushed me to make the purchase.
I got to use their workstation product , which made my laptop run almost “as new” (it developed a major performance issue due to the help of “free” disk de-fragmenter; boy, was I sorry to use it! ), so this convinced me about the product. The company also seems to have a good reputation, so it was not a brainer for me. I am not going to put the WHS part, until Microsoft releases fix for a known bug which can corrupt data. I don’t want to blame PerfectDisk for since of WHS itself.
Ohh yea… [disclaimer] I don’t work for Raxco or sell their products. I don’t own their stock either.[/disclaimer]

Yeah, WHS data corruption is a killer for me too. What’s the point of paying for more software even if to defrag your data when there remains the element of data corruption?

Who wants to experience data corruption? How about if and when Microsoft will ever resolve this serious flaw?

  4. Frank says:

What difference does it make if you got all your data corruption defragged? Let’s hope Microsoft gets this issued resolved soon. Although that’s been said a long, long time ago…

  5. Bogdan S. says:

You obviously are missing the “10 workstation license” part. Even if you do not use the WHS defragmenting, paing only $80,- for 10 2008 DiskPerfect Professional client is a bargain IMHO, but … it’s to late fo you (the 20% discount that is) 🙂

Great, now at least my corrupt files wont be fragmented
