Windows Home Server Patch is out – Nearly!

During a recent press event Microsoft told the people in attendance, that Hewlett Packard now has the Windows Home Server update for which it decided to delay its MediaSmart Home Server. Microsoft will officially announce it’s availability to the rest of us on the Windows Home Server blog on Tuesday September 25 (2007) – Provided they don’t change the date.

One of the updates is aimed at allowing developers writing add-ins to better utilize Windows Home Server, the others will enhance the usability and improve the out-of-the-box experience of home server solutions. The present plan is to make this update available on Windows Updates so we will all automatically receive the update once posted.
